Lents

Originally platted as the town of Lents in 1892 by Oliver Lents, as as self-sufficient town/suburb of Portland and burst in population and was annexed in the city in 1912. Thought the completion of interstate 205 cut the the neighborhood in half , it continued with study growth over the years. Most recently the community and city of Portland have started worked together on urban revitalization. Lends also benefits it residents with unique wildlife & recreational area, 20 acre  Beggar’s Tick Wildlife Refuge, Leach Botanical Garden, the Lents Community Garden and Zenger Farm. Most real estate in this Portland neighborhood is near public transportation, and easy access to local schools, restaurants, shopping, freeways and more.
