Powellhurst-Gilbert

Powellhurst Gilbert is a neighborhood known for its Douglas firs and its past history as an agricultural community. Parks is what this neighborhood is all about with these parks available to residents, including the Kelly Butte Natural Area, Ed Benedict City Park, Earl Boyles Park, Gilbert Heights City Park, and Raymond City Park. This neighborhood was named after the two schools in this neighborhood named after settlers Jackson Powell and William Gilbert. The rail service of 1900s, spur residential development. The neighborhood was fully incorporated in the city of Portland in 1994.

Different homes styles exist in this neighborhood from the classics to new construction.
